# CompressedImage.CreateFromPipeline Method (Pipeline, CompressionType, WriterSettings)
 
Creates a [CompressedImage](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_CompressedImage.htm.md) from an image source, explicitly choosing the compression type and its settings.

A [Pipeline](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Pipeline.htm.md) providing the source image data.

 - compression
     - Type: [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs.CompressionType](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_CompressionType.htm.md)
The [CompressionType](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_CompressionType.htm.md) to use for the compressed streams.

 - writerSettings
     - Type: [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs.WriterSettings](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_WriterSettings.htm.md)
The [WriterSettings](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_WriterSettings.htm.md) that define the compression parameters, for example, the JPEG quality.
