# ChannelsProvider.Channel Property (Int32)
 
Gets or sets the specified bitmap channel.

## Syntax

public Bitmap this[int channelIndex
] { get; set; }
```
 
### Parameters
 
 - channelIndex
     - Type: System.Int32
The number of channel to get or set.
 
### Property Value
 [Bitmap](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap.htm.md) class instance specifying a bitmap channel. It always has the same dimensions as source bitmap and its pixel format is [Format8bppGrayscale](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_PixelFormat_Format8bppGrayscale.htm.md) (if source bitmap is not extended) or [Format16bppGrayscale](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_PixelFormat_Format16bppGrayscale.htm.md) (if source bitmap is extended).
