# PdfWriter.Metadata Property 
 
Gets or sets the XML code containing the XMP metadata to write into the image.

### Property Value
A XML code containing the XMP metadata to write into the image.
 
## Remarks
  
To get specific values of the XMP fields, you can either use the [XmpData](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_XmpData.htm.md) class or parse this XML manually according to the [XMP specification](http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/xmp/sdk/XMPspecification.pdf).
