# ContiguousBackgroundRemoval.DetailThreshold Property

Gets or sets the color difference that returns a thin detail from the background to the subject.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```csharp
public float DetailThreshold { get; set; }
```

### Property Value
The difference as delta E, in range `[0, 200]`. The default value is `20`. The value `0` turns this check off.

## Remarks
 The background is found on a slightly blurred copy of the image, so that noise does not make the edge ragged. The blur can make a hairline look like background. So each background pixel is also compared with the background around it. If the difference is larger than this value, the pixel becomes a part of the subject again.

## Exceptions

|  Exception |  Condition |
| --- | --- |
 | System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException | The value is out of range. |
