# GraphicsContainerRasterizer Class
 
Represents a pipeline element that rasterizes a [GraphicsContainer](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Drawing_GraphicsContainer.htm.md) into a bitmap.

## Remarks
 Like [ImageGenerator](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ImageGenerator.htm.md), this class is a pipeline element: pass it to a [Pipeline](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Pipeline.htm.md) to rasterize large containers in a memory-efficient, stripe-based way. It also exposes [Rasterize()](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_GraphicsContainerRasterizer_Rasterize.htm.md) as a convenience for getting the whole result as a single bitmap without wiring up a pipeline yourself. [ImageGenerator](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ImageGenerator.htm.md) is the broader class - it can also generate a blank bitmap from just a size, and its constructors respect that size whether or not a container is involved. GraphicsContainerRasterizer is narrower and always rasterizes a container, but adds [TargetDpiX](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_GraphicsContainerRasterizer_TargetDpiX.htm.md) and [TargetDpiY](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_GraphicsContainerRasterizer_TargetDpiY.htm.md), which let you rasterize at a resolution other than the container's own - useful for producing a fast on-screen preview instead of full-resolution output.
