# About Graphics Mill

**Aurigma Graphics Mill** is a high-performance image processing library for .NET with a strong focus on **Web-to-Print** workflows and template personalization.

It is designed for production systems that need reliable rendering, advanced typography, PSD-based personalization, color-accurate output, and efficient processing of large images.

Our typical use cases include:

- Web-to-Print personalization engines
- PSD template rendering and variable-data composition
- Server-side image normalization and print preparation
- PDF generation pipelines for production output
- High-volume processing of large raster assets

## Key Features

- **Advanced PSD workflows:** Strong parsing and extraction suitable for complex, template-driven personalization. Rendering PSD templates and replacing Smart Objects with warp transforms is available in the separate `Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Templates` NuGet package. See [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Templates](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Templates.htm.md).
- **Sophisticated typography:** A rich text engine supporting point text, text in shape, [text on path](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/advanced-drawing-text.htm.md), OpenType features, paragraphs, tabs, vertical text, lists, and artistic text effects.
- **Professional PDF production:** Multipage PDF generation with support for **PDF/X-4** and **PDF/VT** standards, drawing with spot colors, PDF layers, and rendering text as outlines or as font glyphs.
- **TIFF production features:** Support for multipage TIFFs and extra channels, such as spot-color separations.

Graphics Mill is capable of processing images and print assets of **any size** without "out of memory" errors. By utilizing the efficient [Pipeline API](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/processing-large-images-using-pipelines.htm.md), it handles huge, high-resolution graphics that sets it apart from standard imaging toolkits.
