# Evaluating Graphics Mill

If you want to evaluate Graphics Mill before making a purchasing decision you can register a trial license key. A trial key allows you to use Graphics Mill without any limitation during the 30 day evaluation period.

**Note**
The evaluation version of Graphics Mill is the real deal. It doesn't have limited functionality. So if the evaluation version does not work properly, we highly encourage you to [create a support case↗](http://www.aurigma.com/account/cases/add) and tell us about the problem.

You are able to request up to two trial license keys.

To obtain a trial license key:

1. Open the [Graphics Mill Evaluation License Key↗](https://www.graphicsmill.com/account/licenses/evaluation/graphics-mill) page.
2. If you are not signed in, you will be redirected to sign in or create a Graphics Mill account.
3. Click **Get Evaluation License**.
4. Your trial license key is displayed on the same page. It is also available on the **Licenses & Downloads** page in your account.
5. Register the key using one of the methods described below.

The simplest way to register the key is directly in your source code:

```csharp
var key = "<YOUR_LICENSE_KEY>";
Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Licensing.License.Set(key);
```

For other ways to register a key, see the [Registering Production License Keys](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/registering-production-license-keys.htm.md) topic.

After you purchase Graphics Mill, you obtain a production license key. You can find detailed instructions on how to register a production key in the same topic.
