# Features

**Aurigma Graphics Mill** is a high-performance image processing library for .NET with a strong focus on **Web-to-Print** workflows and template personalization.

It is designed for production systems that need reliable rendering, advanced typography, PSD-based personalization, color-accurate output, and efficient processing of large images.

This topic lists the most valuable features of Graphics Mill. All the features are grouped into the following categories:

- General Features
- Codecs and File Formats
- Color Depth and Pixel Formats
- Color Management
- Imaging Operations
- Drawing

## General Features

- **Platform Independence:** Support for both **x64** and **x86** architectures.
- **Memory-Friendly Architectures:** High-performance, server-side processing of exceptionally large assets and high-resolution print products without "out of memory" errors. See the [Processing Large Images Using Pipelines](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/processing-large-images-using-pipelines.htm.md) topic for details.
- **Web-to-Print Focus:** Entire toolkit is optimized for high-volume variable data composition, template-driven graphics personalization, and server-side production automation.

    - Full structural support for raster, text, group, shape layers, and Smart Objects (including warp transforms).
    - Dynamic layer manipulation: edit text fields, swap image assets, toggle layer styles, and merge templates into crisp, high-res products.
    - Fine text adjustments and embedded profile safety.
    - Template rendering is provided by the `Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Templates` NuGet package. See [Installation and Redistribution Notices](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/installation-and-redistribution-notices.htm.md).
- [PDF](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/supported-file-formats.htm.md) professional production output:
    - Creation of compliant PDF/X-4 and PDF/VT structures for the print industry.
    - Multi-page PDF compilation with strict layer controls.
    - Flexible text output rules: render text natively or convert characters to vector outlines.
    - Embedded color profiles and reading vector objects from PDF files.
- [SVG](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/supported-file-formats.htm.md) file format read and write support, including vector graphics processing.
- [EPS](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/supported-file-formats.htm.md) file format read and write support:
    - Writing raster data, text elements, and vector graphics with different color formats and color profiles on the same document.
    - Reading TIFF previews.
- [RAW](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm/supported-file-formats.htm.md) camera digital data formats read support.

## Color Depth and Pixel Formats

- 1, 4, 8 bit indexed (palette-based) color space reduction.
- 8 bit per channel professional digital images:
    - 8 bit per pixel grayscale;
    - 24 bit per pixel RGB;
    - 32 bit per pixel CMYK;
    - 16 bit per pixel grayscale with alpha;
    - 32 bit per pixel ARGB (RGB + alpha);
    - 40 bit per pixel ACMYK (CMYK + alpha).
- 16 bit per channel high-fidelity archive assets:
    - 16 bit per pixel grayscale;
    - 48 bit per pixel RGB;
    - 64 bit per pixel CMYK;
    - 32 bit per pixel grayscale with alpha;
    - 64 bit per pixel ARGB (RGB + alpha);
