# Matrix Constructor

Creates a new instance of the [Matrix](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix.htm.md) object.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public Sub New
```

```csharp
public Matrix()
```

## Remarks

When you use this constructor, the identify matrix is created. The identify matrix has the following structure: all elements at the main diagonal are equal to 1. All other elements are equal to 0. To check whether the current instance of this class is an identify matrix, use the [IsIdentity](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix_IsIdentity.htm.md) property.

You can also create a matrix from the points which specify input and output quadrangles. Use [FromAffinePoints(PointF\[\], PointF\[\])](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix_FromAffinePoints_2_a6854ac1.htm.md) and [FromProjectivePoints(PointF\[\], PointF\[\])](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix_FromProjectivePoints_2_a6854ac1.htm.md) static methods for this.
