# ExifDictionary.Thumbnail Field

The image thumbnail.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Remarks
When you pass this value into [Item\[Object\]](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_MetadataDictionary_Item_1_d02429b3.htm.md), you get a [Bitmap](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap.htm.md) that contains the thumbnail stored in EXIF data. Almost all digital cameras include EXIF thumbnail into captured photos. This way of thumbnails from digital photos is much faster comparing to [LoadThumbnail(String, Int32, Int32)](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap_LoadThumbnail_3_dc18a583.htm.md) method or [Resize](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Resize.htm.md) transform.
