# CanvasViewer.RaiseCallbackEvent Method 
 
Raises events for the [CanvasViewer](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_CanvasViewer.htm.md) control when a form is posted back to the server.

 - eventArgument
     - Type: [System.String](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/s1wwdcbf)
A string representation for the index of the list item that raised the event.
 
## Remarks
  
The [CanvasViewer](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_CanvasViewer.htm.md) control uses the RaiseCallbackEvent(String) method to retrieve data and the [GetCallbackResult()](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_CanvasViewer_GetCallbackResult.htm.md) method to return the retrieved data to the control.
