# FileCache.RegisterPublicTempFileName Method 
 
Registers the file of directory name in the public cache.

### Parameters
 
 - fileName
     - Type: [System.String](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/s1wwdcbf)
A file or directory name which needs to be registered in the cache.

 - isDirectory
     - Type: [System.Boolean](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/a28wyd50)
A [Boolean](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/a28wyd50) value which specify whether to generate name for a file or folder.
