# MetadataDictionary.Contains Method 
 
Checks whether the dictionary contains an element with the specified key.

### Parameters
 
 - key
     - Type: [System.Object](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/e5kfa45b)
Key of the object to check. Typically it is a number that represents an EXIF or IPTC tag. Most used tags are available as static members of [ExifDictionary](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_ExifDictionary.htm.md) and [IptcDictionary](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_IptcDictionary.htm.md).
 
### Return Value
Value that equals to **true** when dictionary contains any data at specified key, otherwise **false**.
