# Histogram.BuildSum Method (Bitmap, Int32)

Builds the histogram for specified bitmap. Histogram is based on the value of channel at specified index.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public Sub BuildSum ( _bitmap As Bitmap, _channel As Integer _
)
```

```csharp
public void BuildSum(Bitmap bitmap,int channel
)
```

### Parameters

 - bitmap
     - Type: [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Bitmap](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap.htm.md)
 [Bitmap](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap.htm.md) class instance to build the histogram for.

 - channel
     - Type: [System.Int32](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/td2s409d)
Number of channel to build histogram for.

## Remarks
 This overload of BuildSum(Bitmap, Int32) method can build histogram only for the single channel. If you need to build histogram for several channels (e.g. for two channels), you should use an [overload with array of booleans](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Histogram_BuildSum_2_3f1113c0.htm.md).
