# Matrix.Multiply Method (Matrix, MatrixOrder)

Multiplies two matrices.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public Sub Multiply ( _matrix As Matrix, _order As MatrixOrder _
)
```

```csharp
public void Multiply(Matrix matrix,MatrixOrder order
)
```

### Parameters

 - matrix
     - Type: [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms.Matrix](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix.htm.md)
The matrix you multiply by.

 - order
     - Type: [System.Drawing.Drawing2D.MatrixOrder](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/aw34t360)
An order of the matrices in the multiplication operation.

## Remarks

Note, matrix multiplication is not commutative. It means that the result depends on the order of the matrix. In other words, if A and B are two matrices, the matrix A\*B is not equal to the matrix B\*A. That's why you should use the *order* argument to specify the matrix order.
