# Matrix.ToGdiplusMatrix Method

Returns a matrix converted to [System.Drawing.Drawing2D.Matrix](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/w8s1ct0z).

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public Function ToGdiplusMatrix As Matrix
```

```csharp
public Matrix ToGdiplusMatrix()
```

### Return Value
 [System.Drawing.Drawing2D.Matrix](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/w8s1ct0z) class instance.

## Remarks

[System.Drawing.Drawing2D.Matrix](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/w8s1ct0z) is intended only for affine transforms, and it has only 6 elements (2 columns x 3 rows). [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Transforms.Matrix](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_Matrix.htm.md) supports also projective transforms, and has 9 elements (3 columns x 3 rows). When conversion is applied, the last column is discarded (since it is not supported by GDI+ matrix). So if you are converting matrix of the projective transform, you will get another result with GDI+ matrix.
