# ViewerBase.InvalidateViewer Method (InvalidationTarget)
 
Invalidates the specified target of the control and causes it to be repainted.

A descendant of the [InvalidationTarget](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_InvalidationTarget.htm.md) class that needs to be repainted.
 
## Remarks
  
It is recommended to use this method instead of [System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invalidate](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/598t492a).
