# BaseViewer.RulerEnabled Property 
 
Gets or sets a value indicating whether to show the ruler.

### Property Value
 
**true** if the ruler is shown; otherwise **false**.
 
Default value is **false**.

Use the [RulerScale](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_BaseViewer_RulerScale.htm.md) and [RulerWidth](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_BaseViewer_RulerWidth.htm.md) properties to set ruler parameters.
