# BaseViewer.RulerScale Property 
 
Gets or sets the ruler scale.

### Property Value
 
The [Single](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/3www918f) value specifying the ruler scale.
 
Default value is **1**.
 
## Remarks
  
To show the ruler set the [RulerEnabled](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_BaseViewer_RulerEnabled.htm.md) property to **true**.
