# VObject.Index Property 
 
Get the index of this [VObject](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_VectorObjects_VObject.htm.md) in the [VObjectCollection](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_VectorObjects_VObjectCollection.htm.md). Returns `-1` if the [VObject](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_VectorObjects_VObject.htm.md) was not added to the collection.
