# FormatReader.Opened Property 
 
Returns value that specifies whether the reader is opened.

Value that specifies whether the reader is opened.

## Remarks
 Reader becomes opened after you call [Open(String)](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_FormatReader_Open_1_bb3a7a4f.htm.md) method until the subsequent call of [Close()](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/M_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_FormatReader_Close.htm.md) method.
