# WMReader.IsFrameSeekable Property

Gets a value specifying whether the opened file is seekable by index.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs.MediaProcessor (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Codecs.MediaProcessor.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public Overrides NotOverridable ReadOnly Property IsFrameSeekable As Boolean
```

```csharp
public override sealed bool IsFrameSeekable { get; }
```

### Property Value
A [Boolean](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/a28wyd50) value specifying whether the opened file is seekable by index.

### Implements

[IFormatReader.IsFrameSeekable](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_IFormatReader_IsFrameSeekable.htm.md)

## Remarks

It is possible to convert non-seekable ASF files to seekable ones. To do it, you should create an index for such files using the [AsfIndexer](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_AsfIndexer.htm.md) class.

The frame type returned by the reader depends on this property. For seekable files [WMFrame](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_WMFrame.htm.md) instances are returned. For non-seekable ones - [WMPreLoadedFrame](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_WMPreLoadedFrame.htm.md).
