# ColorManagementProvider.ColorManagementEngine Property 
 
Gets/sets color management engine (module) which will be used during image transformation. Graphics Mill for .NET supports the following engines: LittleCMS and Adobe CMM. The property also allows to disable color management and perform transformation without color matching.

### Property Value
 [ColorManagementEngine](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_ColorManagementEngine.htm.md) value specifying color management engine.
 
## Remarks
  
Color management will be applied during transformation of image between color formats in case if all the following conditions are met:
 
1. This property is set to [LittleCms](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_ColorManagementEngine.htm.md) or [AdobeCmm](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_ColorManagementEngine.htm.md).
2. [Bitmap](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap.htm.md) which needs to be transformed has [ColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Bitmap_ColorProfile.htm.md) initialized with correct color profile (e.g. it is embedded color profile loaded from image file, or this property was initialized after the image has been loaded).
3. An output color profile is also initialized. Depending on color space use [CmykColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorManagementProvider_CmykColorProfile.htm.md), [RgbColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorManagementProvider_RgbColorProfile.htm.md), or [GrayScaleColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorManagementProvider_GrayScaleColorProfile.htm.md) properties. For example, if you need to translate image to CMYK color space, you need to set [CmykColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorManagementProvider_CmykColorProfile.htm.md) up with appropriate CMYK profile; if destination color space is RGB, [RgbColorProfile](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorManagementProvider_RgbColorProfile.htm.md) property should be initialized etc.

If you do not need to apply color management during image transformation, set this property to [None](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Transforms_ColorManagementEngine.htm.md).
