# Color.ColorSpace Property

Returns a color space of the color.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.GraphicsMill](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/N_Aurigma_GraphicsMill.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

## Syntax

```
Public MustOverride ReadOnly Property ColorSpace As ColorSpace
```

```csharp
public abstract ColorSpace ColorSpace { get; }
```

### Property Value
 [ColorSpace](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorSpace.htm.md) value indicating color space of the color.

## Remarks
 Each class which derived from [Color](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Color.htm.md) class represents its own color space. It means that if, for example, this property returns [Rgb](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_ColorSpace.htm.md), you can cast this [Color](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Color.htm.md) variable to [RgbColor](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_RgbColor.htm.md) class. However casting to derived classes is considered as bad style from object-oriented point of view, so it is recommended to use it only if it is necessary indeed.
