# IListItem.Selected Property 
 
Gets/sets a value indicating whether the item is selected.

### Property Value
A [Boolean](http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/a28wyd50) value indicating whether the item is selected.
 
## Remarks
  
Item is selected when the user highlights it by the mouse. Typically it is marked as a blue frame around the item (the exact color depends on the Windows theme though). Do not confuse it with checkbox state (which is available through the [Checked](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_IListItem_Checked.htm.md) property).
