# RectangleController.OutlineStyle Property 
 
Gets/sets the rectangle outline pen style (solid, dashed, etc).

### Property Value
The pen style of the rectangle outline.
 
## Remarks
  
Since rectangle outline is drawn using GDI (through the [GdiGraphics](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Drawing_GdiGraphics.htm.md) class), pen style has the same limitations as a GDI pen. In particular, if the pen width (specified with the [OutlineWidth](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_RectangleController_OutlineWidth.htm.md) property) is larger than 1, pen style is always solid, regardless to this property value.
