# VObject.index Property 
 
Get the index of this v-object in the [VObjectCollection](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_VectorObjects_VObjectCollection.htm.md). Returns `-1` if the v-object was not added to the collection.
