# BaseViewer.exceptionDescription Property 
 
When a remote scripting method fails, this method returns the exception description.

## Syntax

function get_exceptionDescription();
```
 
### Property Value
The value which represents description of exception which was thrown during calling remote scripting method.
 
## Remarks
  
If the method succeeded, empty string returned.
 
To determine when the remote method is completed, use [statusChanged](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/E_J_GraphicsMill_BaseViewer_statusChanged.htm.md) event.
