# BaseViewer.zoomMode Property 
 
Gets/sets a value that specifies content zoom mode of the control (automatic or manual).

## Syntax

function get_zoomMode();
function set_zoomMode(value);

### Property Value
 [ZoomMode](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_GraphicsMill_ZoomMode.htm.md) enumeration member that specifies the zooming behavior.
 
## Remarks
  
In manual zoom mode (i.e. if the value of this property is [none](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_GraphicsMill_ZoomMode.htm.md)) user can change the content zoom either by [zoom](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_BaseViewer_zoom.htm.md) property or using some zooming [navigator](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_BaseViewer_navigator.htm.md).
 
If automatic zoom (except [zoomControl](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_GraphicsMill_ZoomMode.htm.md)) mode is used and you attempt to change [zoom](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_BaseViewer_zoom.htm.md) value manually, zoomMode property will be set to [none](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_GraphicsMill_ZoomMode.htm.md).
 
**Note** 
When you set some zooming navigator into the [navigator](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_BaseViewer_navigator.htm.md) property, this property is reset to [none](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_J_GraphicsMill_ZoomMode.htm.md).
 
This property corresponds to [BaseViewer.ZoomMode](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_BaseViewer_ZoomMode.htm.md) server-side member.
