# IFormatInfo Interface
 
This interface is implemented by all Graphics Mill for .NET format readers and writers to provide information about the formats.

## Remarks
 In particular it is used to get filter string for open and save file dialogs (see [FilterStringForLoad](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_FormatManager_FilterStringForLoad.htm.md) and [FilterStringForSave](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_FormatManager_FilterStringForSave.htm.md) properties of the [FormatManager](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_Codecs_FormatManager.htm.md) class).
