# IListItem Interface
 
This interface should be implemented by any list item object.

## Remarks
  
In the current implementation of the **Aurigma.GraphicsMill.WinControls** the only one class implements this inteface - [ThumbnailListItem](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_ThumbnailListItem.htm.md). It represents file system objects as list items.
 
**Note** 
Internal architecture of the [ThumbnailListView](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_ThumbnailListView.htm.md) control does not allow to share list items. One list item can be displayed only in one [ThumbnailListView](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_ThumbnailListView.htm.md) control. If you need to put the item from one [ThumbnailListView](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_ThumbnailListView.htm.md) control to another one, you should clone it. The [Parent](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_WinControls_IListItem_Parent.htm.md) property enables you to verify whether the item already belongs to some control and get access to this control. Incorrect implementation of this property may lead to unpredictable results.
