# RectangleController Class
 
This client-side class corresponds to the [RectangleController](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/T_Aurigma_GraphicsMill_AjaxControls_RectangleController.htm.md) server-side class and gives an opportunity to obtain access to its primary members in JavaScript. This is a base class for all the navigators and rubberbands which should display a rectangle.

## Syntax

GraphicsMill.RectangleController = function();

Type.createClass('GraphicsMill.RectangleController',GraphicsMill.UserInputController);

## Remarks
  
This class implements the functionality for displaying a rectangle rubberband. You can change the rectangle appearance using [outlineColor](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_RectangleController_outlineColor.htm.md), [outlineWidth](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_RectangleController_outlineWidth.htm.md), and [outlineStyle](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_RectangleController_outlineStyle.htm.md) client-side properties.
 
This class allows to specify whether to display a mask which shadows the image out of the rectangle. The mask can be customized by [maskColor](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_RectangleController_maskColor.htm.md) and [maskOpacity](https://www.graphicsmill.com/docs/gm5/P_J_GraphicsMill_RectangleController_maskOpacity.htm.md) client-side properties.
