Red Eye Removal is a unique tool that allows you to correct the red-eye effect quickly and easily. Due to sophisticated algorithms it is capable of identifying red-eyed pupils on a photo and removing the red-eye effect from them.
Red-eye appears when the flash reflects from the retinas of someone's eyes, especially in case of low light when their pupils are dilated. Red Eye Removal is intended to correct this undesirable effect.
Graphics Mill allows red-eye removal to work in two modes:
Manual mode - you need to select the facial region and points out spots with red-eye effect in view. It is possible to configure the redness threshold used during removal.
Semiautomatic mode - you need to select the facial region and the tool searches for red-eyes automatically. You can configure eye search sensitivity and the redness threshold.
The most important characteristic of Red Eye Removal is that it analyses facial features, i.e. it recognizes and classifies the facial features and cuts off those least possible to be red-eyed. This algorithm prevents color changes in parts of the image that do not show red-eye.
