Path.Inflate Method (Single, LineJoin, Single, Single, FillingRule)

Applies to: Graphics Mill 12.1, 6.x-12.x (may differ)

Grows or shrinks every closed region of the path by the specified distance, using the specified parameters.

Namespace: Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Drawing
Assembly: Aurigma.GraphicsMill (in Aurigma.GraphicsMill.dll)

Syntax

C#
public void Inflate(
	float delta,
	LineJoin lineJoin,
	float miterLimit,
	float arcTolerance,
	FillingRule fillingRule
)

Parameters

delta

Type: System.Single

The distance. A positive value grows the regions, a negative value shrinks them.
lineJoin

Type: Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Drawing.LineJoin

The style of the corners.
miterLimit

Type: System.Single

The limit of the miter length, relative to the distance. Must be at least 1.
arcTolerance

Type: System.Single

The largest allowed deviation of a round corner from the true arc. Must be greater than 0.
fillingRule

Type: Aurigma.GraphicsMill.Drawing.FillingRule

The filling rule that defines how overlapping and nested subpaths form regions.

Remarks

Unlike OffsetContour(Single), this method lets you choose the corner style and the filling rule. That method always uses miter corners.

When the regions grow, parts that are closer than 2 * delta merge. If you grow the path and then shrink it by the same distance, gaps narrower than 2 * delta are closed. A region that shrinks to nothing disappears.

Curves are converted to polylines first.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException A parameter is out of range.
